2010 Wisconsin Film Festival
Our friend Meg Hamel is a one-woman movie machine — she has been driving the Wisconsin Film Festival for years, turning it into one of Madison's great annual events. She has done such a good job that she doesn't really need to drum up an audience anymore, but can instead have fun tailoring a theme and identity for each individual year's event.
In 2010, Meg came to Swink. We came up with a theme (It Changes You) that was all about the power of film to make you see, hear, and feel things differently. The imagery draws from late night Wisconsin porches and is centered on an unassuming light that has the power to draw us all in close together, if only for a moment.
