We were asked to name and create an identity for an online music start-up. The premise? To rid the world of those cumbersome plastic CD cases that gather dust in your home and make your music collection more digitally accessible, all while letting you buy, sell and trade your music with the community. As a result, Murfie.com – a nickname derived from the acronym M.R.F meaning Materials Recycling Facility – was born. Using a friendly, typographically treatment for the logo, we hand-stamped the logo onto various recyclable French Poptone paper to create a bright and vibrant identity system.
